Kurzbeschreibung

DBMS mit Fokus auf der Abspeicherung von historischen Daten und 'point-in-time queries'. Es verwendet Fremdsysteme zur Speicherung der Daten

dBase war eine der ersten Datenbanken mit einer eigenen Entwicklungsumgebung auf PC's. Die letzte Version dbase V wird als dBase classic weiter vertrieben und benötigt eine DOS-Emulation. Das aktuelle Produkt ist aber dBase Plus.
