Created as commercial project in 2013, FoundationDB has been acquired by Apple in March 2015 and was withdrawn from the market. As a consequence, the product was removed from the DB-Engines ranking. In April 2018, Apple open-sourced FoundationDB and it therefore reappears in the ranking.
DescriptionOrdered key-value store. Core features are complimented by layers.A distributed, linear scalable, high perfomant Graph DBMSBased on PostgreSQL enhanced with MPP and write-scale-out cluster featuresA .NET Object Database that can be embedded/distributed and extended to a graph data model (VelocityGraph)Cloud or off-cloud analytical database and query engine for structured and semi-structured streaming and batch data.
