Specific characteristics

NebulaGraph is a truly distributed, linearly scalable, lightning-fast graph database, while still providing millisecond latency, high availability and data security. Key features include:

  1. Open source. We are continuing to collaborate with the community to prepare, populorize the graph database.
  2. High performance. NebulaGraph provides low latency read and write, while still maintaining high throughput. NebulaGraph has published its benchmark report based on the LDBC social networking dataset for k-hop read performance in terms of latency and throughput. See the report for details.
  3. SQL-like query language. NebulaGraph's SQL-like query language, nGQL, is easy to understand and powerful enough to meet complex business needs.
  4. Highly secured graph database. NebulaGraph only allows authenticated access via role-based access control.
  5. Horizontal and vertical scalability. With a shared-nothing distributed architecture, NebulaGraph offers linear scalability.
  6. Extensible. NebulaGraph supports multiple storage engine types and multiple computing frameworks.
  7. Production ready. Large Internet companies like JD Digit (NASDAQ:JD), Meituan (3690.HK), and Xiaohongshu (RED) have deployed NebulaGraph in production environments. They chose NebulaGraph for some common reasons.
  8. Highly available. With horizontal scalability and a snapshot feature, NebulaGraph guarantees high availability even in case of failures.
Competitive advantages

NebulaGraph boasts the world's only graph database solution that is able to host graphs with dozens of billions of vertices and trillions of edges, while still providing millisecond latency, high availability and data security.

Typical application scenarios
  1. Social networking
  2. Fraud detection
  3. Knowledge graph
  4. Data warehouse management
  5. Anti money laundery
  6. Graph analytics and algorithms
  7. Artificial intelligence
  8. Graph Embedding
