Created as commercial project in 2013, FoundationDB has been acquired by Apple in March 2015 and was withdrawn from the market. As a consequence, the product was removed from the DB-Engines ranking. In April 2018, Apple open-sourced FoundationDB and it therefore reappears in the ranking.
Description | In-memory caching system | Natively in-memory DBMS with options for persistency, high-availability and clustering | Ordered key-value store. Core features are complimented by layers. | A horizontally scalable, globally consistent, relational database service. It is the externalization of the core Google database that runs the biggest aspects of Google, like Ads and Google Play. | A Graph DBMS optimized for distributed clusters It was forked from the latest code base of Titan in January 2017
