Description | CockroachDB is a distributed database architected for modern cloud applications. It is wire compatible with PostgreSQL and backed by a Key-Value Store, which is either RocksDB or a purpose-built derivative, called Pebble. | dBase was one of the first databases with a development environment on PC's. Its latest version dBase V is still sold as dBase classic, which needs a DOS Emulation. The up-to-date product is dBase plus. | Fauna provides a web-native interface, with support for GraphQL and custom business logic that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the serverless ecosystem. The underlying globally distributed storage and compute platform is fast, consistent, and reliable, with a modern security infrastructure. | Common in IBM host environments, 2 different versions for host and Windows/Linux
Primary database model | Relational DBMS | Relational DBMS | Document store Graph DBMS Relational DBMS Time Series DBMS | Relational DBMS Since Version 10.5 support for JSON/BSON documents compatible with MongoDB
Secondary database models | Document store RDF store in Db2 LUW (Linux, Unix, Windows) Spatial DBMS with Db2 Spatial Extender
