SequoiaDB is a financial-level distributed database including three storage modes: the distributed NewSQL, the distributed file system & object storage, and the high-performance multi-model storage.
SequoiaDB Specific Characteristics
SequoiaDB provides a leading OLTP solution in the industry, and perfectly addresses the pain points of financial-level transactional database system.
In the architecture aspect, SequoiaDB applies the native distributed architecture, and the independently developed distributed engine guarantees the elastic scale out of the DBMS and the mass data increasing. Meanwhile, SequoiaDB adapts to the distributed architecture of cloud database, which makes the transactional database infrastructure could satisfy the need of achieving the micro-services and cloud-native architecture.
In the transaction and consistency aspect, SequoiaDB guarantees ACID compliance, distributed transaction capabilities across tables and nodes, configurable consistency level between strong consistency and eventual consistency.
In the operation and maintenance aspect, SequoiaDB supports standard SQL access, and is compatible with MySQL/PostgreSQL in protocol level, which could reduce the migration and utilization difficulty of core business to the fully extent.
In the data security aspect, the high availability and disaster recovery (DR) ability cross data centers of SequoiaDB have already implemented DR backup in different sites, meeting the hyper financial-level data security needs.
|Typical application scenarios|
As a financial-level distributed database management system, SequoiaDB supports distributed OLTP, and completely compatible with MySQL/PostgreSQL, which is perfectly qualified for core transaction business. Meanwhile, SequoiaDB’s use cases range from financial industry history data platform, financial industry video platform, financial counter monitoring system, operational data lake, private cloud database platform, to computer vision and AI and more.
