GreptimeDB
Specific characteristics

GreptimeDB is a SQL & Python-enabled timeseries database system built from scratch by using the most loved programming language, Rust. It writes over 100,000,000 datapoint/second and queries tens of millions of KPIs per second for alerting and anomaly detection purposes.

Competitive advantages

- Inherits advantages of Rust, such as excellent performance, memory safe, resource efficient, etc.

- Is not limited to being used in the cloud environment or standalone version, users can deploy clusters based on actual data volume.

- Stores legacy data at a lower cost through hot-cold separation architecture, decoupling of storage and compute, efficient compression algorithms and built-in downsampling method.

Typical application scenarios

For IoT industries, GreptimeDB can seamless integrate with message queues and other data ingestion channels; can be used for data lifecycle management, data modeling, data quality assurance and monitoring. It has low cost storage which helps the company saves a large amount of IT fixed spendings. It also provides powerful analytical capabilities, such as predict and detect anomalies, and integrate well with popular BI and Machine learning platforms.

For Observability, our solutions enable real-time alerting, provides accurate and various notifiers. Assist AIOps with anomaly detection, root cause diagnosis, correlation analysis, etc. can also monitor changes like updates, stress testing, capacity planning, cyberattack simulation, and allows for customization.

For Autonomous Vehicles, not only can GreptimeDB helps store data produced
during the lifecycle of electronic vehicles from assembling, production to daily monitoring and maintenance at a low cost, it can also matches and queries historical time series data during testing phase, and locates the test process to find the root cause of the issue. Then performs correlation analysis by finding patterns among several sets of data.

Key customers

Greptime's clients span multiple sectors including IoT, connected vehicles, and energy and power. Leading new energy automotive firms, such as Li Auto, are among the early adopters of our innovative vehicle-cloud integration solution. Prominent organizations including the State Grid Corporation of China and SignalPlus have also turned to GreptimeDB, leveraging its advanced capabilities to tap into the potential of time-series data with greater efficiency.

Market metrics

GreptimeDB has garnered global recognition by topping GitHub trends following its open source release. It boasts a diverse international user base, exceeding 40,000 installations, and has attracted contributions from over 50 developers worldwide.
