Hosted simple database service by Amazon, with the data stored in the Amazon Cloud.

There is an unrelated product called SimpleDB developed by Edward Sciore

High performant column-oriented DBMS for analytic workloads using MySQL or PostgreSQL as a frontend

A MongoDB-compatible JSON document store, built on top of PostgreSQL
