Kurzbeschreibung

dBase war eine der ersten Datenbanken mit einer eigenen Entwicklungsumgebung auf PC's. Die letzte Version dbase V wird als dBase classic weiter vertrieben und benötigt eine DOS-Emulation. Das aktuelle Produkt ist aber dBase Plus.

Open source RDBMS, das zu MySQL anwendungskompatibel ist und zusätzliche Features wie Hochverfügbarkeit, Security, Interoperabilität und Performanceverbesserungen aufweist. Mit MariaDB ColumnStore bietet es auch eine spaltenorientierte storage engine
